Welcome to the New Site

The success of the Rollin E. Becker Institute in providing high-quality post-graduate cranial osteopathy courses deserved to be matched with an updated, faster and more functional website. We also knew that we wanted you, our course participants, to be placed at the centre of the design so we could provide you with a more integrated CPD experience.

So, welcome to the new site!

iPhone 5 showing responsive design

More and more of us own tablets and smart-phones, so we’ve given this website a ‘responsive’ design. In English, this means you can view our content on any desktop or mobile device, and it’ll still be engaging and usable, with high-detail Retina devices (e.g. iPad and iPhone) fully supported.

Also, your on-site account now offers extra functionality such as member-exclusive downloadable documents (pre-course reading, schedules, and other course-related extras), the Practitioner Forum, live bookings via the Course Calendar and this Blog!

If you take part in our Forum you can continue to gain support from our highly experienced faculty of Osteopaths, which is particularly useful if you’re new to this work.

However, we also hope it will become a place to safely discuss the work with other like-minded osteopaths regardless of ability – there are always questions and interesting cases when it comes to the life-long practice of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field (OCF), as it is known.

Over the next few weeks you’ll see further courses being added to the Course Calendar, although at the moment our Foundation level 5-day OCF Course is centre-stage, and for good reason – our participant feedback consistently highly rates the quality of teaching, content, delivery and practical that the course provides.

It is recommended that participants consider taking this course twice, and those that have never regret the experience as our tutors provide flexible practical instruction that can match the participant’s palpatory confidence.

Finally, we would like to thank Rollin Becker for his immeasurable contribution to the body of Osteopathic understanding and practice, which has enriched the work of OCF and osteopathy in general.

A man of great humility, Dr. Becker emphasized the importance of treatment being guided by a ‘listening’ approach and the value in recognizing and harnessing the potential of self-corrective mechanisms within the body.

The teaching team of the Rollin E. Becker Institute hope that our courses will broaden the scope of your osteopathic practice, as we endeavour to follow Dr. Becker’s important example.
